Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Flip Clock mobile application ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. Flip Clock is a clock, timer, alarm, and world clock app. We built it to work with as little data as possible, and this policy describes exactly what is (and isn't) collected.

Short version: Flip Clock does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use analytics or tracking tools, and does not sell or share your data. The only data the App requests is your device's approximate location, used solely to show local weather in the World Clock feature.

Information We Collect

Location data. If you use the World Clock feature, the App may request access to your device's location to detect your current city and display the local time and weather for it. You can also skip this and search for cities manually instead of sharing your location. Location data is used only to fetch weather information from a third-party weather service (see below) and is not stored on our servers, because we don't operate any servers that receive it.

App settings and preferences. Things you configure in the App — such as clock themes, fonts, alarms, timers, and saved cities — are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Information we do not collect. The App does not require you to create an account or sign in, and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting tools of any kind.

How Information Is Used

Third-Party Services

The App uses a third-party weather data provider to display weather information for cities in the World Clock feature. When location or a searched city name is used to fetch weather, that request is sent to the weather provider's servers. We do not control, and are not responsible for, that provider's own data practices. We do not integrate any advertising, analytics, or social-media SDKs.

Data Storage & Security

All app preferences, alarms, timers, and saved cities are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. This data is removed automatically if you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage from your device settings. Because we do not operate backend servers that store your personal data, there is no central database of user information for us to secure or lose.

Children's Privacy

Flip Clock is a general-audience utility app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App does not collect personal information in the first place, no special children's-data handling is required.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective date." Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
